Emerging risks pose several challenges to the (re) insurance industry and Swiss Re has been one of the industry leaders on trying to be ahead of tomorrows challenges.

The seminar started with an introduction by Carlos Boelsterli,  Regional Office Head at Swiss Re.

After Carlos’ introduction, Guillermo Eslava gave us a perspective of how we are constantly in changing and developing environments that lead us to new emerging risks that are certainly difficult to quantify from our current perspective.

Eslava showed that we continue to underestimate these risks from a regulatory perspective and that as a market we need to invest more time and resources to be prepared for tomorrow’s challenges.

For Guillermo it was clear that as long as we continue to share our knowledge and think together about these risks, we might be able to prevent the next Asbestos.
